My teeth broke into pieces eventually. It seems to all be autoimmune related for me.

My mouth is sore all the time. I do get sores, but it feels like I've eaten really hot food and burned the inside of my mouth (when I haven't) all the time. My teeth have been chipping also, but the dentist says they are fine. They think I'm grinding and I know I'm not. I tried a mouth guard. The dentist prescribed me Magic Mouthwash, but no one has the ingredients to make it here. My mouth is torn up from eating anything with substance. Example: If I eat cereal, my mouth becomes raw. It's not hard cereal either. Several years ago, my dental implant came loose and another time, my cap came off. I have not been diagnosed with Sjogren's, but everything points to it. I can wake up with my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth, my eyes sealed shut, sores in my ears, mouth, nose, and my GYN cannot even get a sample for my annual. Now that is super painful! I keep smiling though. Lupus does not define me...or you!

I have been battling mouth and tongue sores too for the past year.
The past two weeks a painful tongue sore shooting to the back of my mouth is worrying me!
Still waiting to see my doctor.

In the last year all my bottom teeth have with rotted or just broke. I’m on medi-cal and they don’t pay for dental or there aren’t any dentist that take Dentical in my county. My mouth gets sores and it hurts now quite often. I had someone say oh she must be a meth head, you can tell by their teeth. Yikes, really I have lupus… it is so embarrassing. I have dentures in my top. But I’m guessing I would have the same problem had I not had other issues and have them pulled several years ago. Wish I would have talked my dentist into pulling them. But he said they were in good shape and to always try to save them. Does anyone else have rotting mouth from lupus??
