My Rheumatologist recently recommended Acthar Gel injections to treat my SLE.
The potential side effects seem to outweigh the benefits, and I am fearful of starting this drug regimen.
Does anyone in this group utilize this drug?
Please share your experience with it.
Thank you.

I tried the Acthar injections for 6 months and unfortunately didn't have any improvement so after 6 months discontinued with my Rheumatologist's blessings. I was reluctant to try so we decided upfront to give it 6 months which made me more comfortable. Hope this helps!

I've had in the past. It didn't work for me unfortunately. It made my face really round and darkened my skin. People would ask if i had a tan.
