Hi all, Just wondering what your thoughts💭 and feelings are about getting a third Covid vaccine💉? Will you get one? Anyone actively in the medical community? What are you hearing👂? Love to hear from everyone. TIA💜
I just had my 3rd yesterday. Had more side effects than the first 2 doses but nothing too bad. Sore arm is the worst of it! *See my earlier post with regard to a 3rd covid vaccine vs. a booster, there is a difference.*
These mRNA vaccines have been in the works for well over 10 years and millions upon millions of people have gotten them without incident. However, over 600,000 have died just in the U.S. from covid and if people don't get vaccinated there will be more variants like Delta and more people will die. Get vaccinated, protect yourself and others and be well
🙂
I recieved my third dose of pfizer yesterday. I'm on mychophenolate which works on both b and t cells in suppressing the immune system. Many drugs that people take for autoimmune diseases put them at risk of building minimal antibodies to none. A study of my med said it was about 30% effective compared to the average of 96%. Yesterday the doctors in Florida held a temporary walk out to let the public know how overwhelmed they are in dealing with all this, especially when most serious side effects can be prevented by a vaccine. The doctors stating that this delta varient eats away at the lungs made my decision for third shot an easy one!. You need to weigh the pros and cons, what type of risks you will be exposed to in your work, and everyday living, along with how this might effect you and come up with what is best for you! Best wishes!! Most importantly everyone stay safe and healthy!!.
I had my 3rd dose this Friday. I had the worst side effects this time but better than getting covid. My dr. Says i still need to be super careful mask and distance.
I am staying masked until they have a cure, not taking any chances. On the scientific front, good news...Moderna is testing a COVID /flu combo vaccine that will likely be approved in the near future.
Ok Team.....I now this is not a popular decision, but it is my truth. I have had Covid, and I did not get deathly ill. I did have the loss of taste, headache, body aches, EXTREME fatigue, but not much of anything else. Before Covid was a thing, we had to protect ourselves any way. I feel the opposite. with all of the meds we put in our bodys, how will the vaccine mix with it. We that have compromised immune systems, especially Lupus and other diseases that mutate, change, and have an unpredictable pattern, I would rather risk just protecting myself, as usual, than put something in my body that may or may not change my body in the long run. I already have enough to deal with, and then to add something else to the bag of issues I currently have. I protect myself and others, by just simply taking care of myself and my space as before. I believe in GOD, and he has taken care of me and my family thus far...
