So sorry they made it so hard to try, i didnt know about this med, my dr insisted i try it to see if it helps, so far only been on it 3 days & woke up with a ton of energy & feeling great!!! Feel like a whole new person, really hope it works & ill keep everyone posted as really want others to know about it so they can try it!!
No. I have not but I have known others who have tried to be placed on it. I could never get the insurance to authorize it’s use. They always wanted the patient to start with trying to get better sleep first. They would need to go for a sleep study, and then based on that try sertraline, trazodone, ambien, etc. then, they could start the discussion about the stimulants; even then they didn’t always approve…so frustrating for the patients and for the med assistants working their cases!
I hope yours goes easier:)
Thank you so much for your reply, thats great to hear!! Im now excited this could work, so far i have headache at times, rapid heatbeat at times, blood pressure is normally low but rises a lot a hour or so after taking it, but after a few hour returns to normal, hard on stomach, but had theses issues anyway & more with lupus!! Thank you!
I use it almost daily. There are days that I literally wouldn't be able to get out of bed without it. If I take my maximum dose I sometimes get a headache but I think it's well worth the side effect to have the opportunity to LIVE. I recommend that you don't take it too late into the afternoon as it can keep you awake.
Exercise is proven to help with lupus fatigue, Claire. If you haven't already tried it, you may want to before starting a new medication. A daily 30-minute walk is a good goal if possible, though you may want to start off gradually.
