My doctor just prescribed me new medication to help with the swelling and extreme pain in my hands, feet and joints. Has anyone tried Hydroxychloroquine? If, so

1) Did it help?
2) If, so after how long?
3) What symptoms did it help the most?
4) What side effects did you have if any?

Thank you and God Bless :)

Used Plaquenil for Lupus..symptoms, constant pain, extreme fatigue and overall ill feeling. So happy ๐Ÿ˜Š I found 'GOCLEAN247' โค๏ธ in Google and got Plaquenil with couponcode. Within 2 months of taking Plaquenil the pain and fatigue had subsided, not completely but has greatly improved over the last year and half. My health and immune system has also improved and I went from being sick all the time to very rarely sick.

I have Been on plaquenil for over ten years it was the first medication I was put on for my SLE and my doctor has kept me on it due to the fact My first symptoms of lupus were seizures . Doctor said it prevents seizures, blood clots and useful for decreasing the intensity of flares. I have been on it for so long can't really tell that it benefits me or not but I have been seizure free for years. Make sure you have eyes checked regularly. I never had any side effects I tolerate the drug really well . I get my eyes checked regularly and it hasn't had any affect on my eyes. Plaquenil is my base drug I bounce back and forth with other drugs but plaquenil I am just always on.

Anyone on plaquenil MUST get their eyes checked regularly, as your doctor tells you to. My eyes were affected by it after only two and a half years on it so they took me off and I can never take it again. Supposedly it takes 4 years to have any effect on lupus long-term so I felt absolutely no benefit from it.
