Its been a month now since i was infected with a mild case of Covid and now my job has mandated the vaccine by the 27th of September. (I work for ahosp. ) So im scheduled for my 1st vaccine this weekCan anyone reassure me from experience that its safe? Because that is what everyone keeps telling me. I tried to ask my Rhuem DR for a medical exemption just to buy more time but unfortunatly he wasnt in aggreement.
I got my shot a week and half after I had a negative test from having it. They say as long as you don’t have a fever anymore or severe breathing issues you are good to go. I got it and had body aches the next day but it was gone by day two.
My rheumy pushed for me to get it. I had Covid early March. I got my shots in April.
I took the Moderna shots and was only a little tired after. No real problems. Sore arm from the shot.
I was afraid that getting the vaccine would initiate a flare. I finally decided to get the Moderna vax 4 months ago. Nothing happened after the first shot, but got Covid arm after the 2nd one. It went away after a few days and fortunately I didn't end up with a flare. I'm happy that I got the vax and I'll definitely get a booster.
I have had 3 moderna shots. I ft sick for about 12 hours after the 2nd and the booster. Honestly though, to me, the reaction was a walk in the park compared to a lupus flare.
