For those with issues on the steroids, but unable to go off of them entirely…
Has your doctor mentioned an additional therapeutic called Benlysta? There is also a new one out as well; just approved last year by the FDA. It might be worth looking into. This med has helped me a lot since starting.

Noom totally works! For those struggling with weight loss while on all these meds😁 Oh my gosh, it’s amazing. I’ve lost 30 pounds in the last 8 months. This is the most I have lost on any program!

I was talking to my acupuncturist about how I could not seem to lose weight before, etc, and she made a great point. Our bodies need energy to metabolize our food, process the waste products, etc. However, those in our condition, we are utilizing what little energy we have to do this, and to move around, run errands, cook, hold a job, etc. Promoting fatigue, pain and, of course, flares. I feel like it all makes sense now; yay!

No it never goes away, sometimes much worse than others. Unfortunately I have just had to live with it. Don't fall for the ads that say they can cure it, they only get rich with your money. Sometimes we have to be grateful it is not a death sentence and try and use our mind and brain to rise above this horrible annoying sound forever in our head. Bless you.

I put earplugs in my ears and hum. I know it sounds crazy but works for me.

I have the same ringing! I am on Plaquenil and I can’t live without it. I tried! The ringing comes and goes…..I gained a lot of weight on steroids so I’m trying a more organic approach. I’m using Noom ( the weight loss sight) as well. I love it!! Teaching Pre-school full time is super hard on me. I don’t have any energy left after school. I hate this. I love my job but not since lupus came along. Im praying for all of you. Im sorry for those of you who are allergic to Plaquenil.
