@A MyLupusTeam Member,
Try not to worry too much about your kidneys. Keep hope flowing through your heart, mind, and soul. You can try to keep things stable through your diet and medication. I have been taking CellCept for years and have been at stage 3b for several years. What medication are you taking now to help keep things stable?
I have kidney disease and am currently in the early part of stage 4 kidney disease. I wasn’t even aware I had kidney disease until I had to have a blood transfusion due to having chronic anemia because I for some reason don’t absorb iron and am deathly allergic to it, so I. Ant take it infised or any type of supplements for it. My hematologist ordered a round or regular old blood tests and a urine screen and found out I had stage 3b kidney disease and then he ordered a biopsy of my kidneys to be done to determine if y disease was caused by my Lupus or what was causing the damage to my kidneys. I was a Motrin user so I figured it was due to over use of Motrin, but nope it is from my Lupus. My doctor doesn’t seem so worried about it but it worries the heck out of me since the next stage is dialysis. I would suggest seeing a dietitian or nutritionist and talk about diet that would make you very much in control and able to fight the kidney battle a little better 🙏💙
Thank you I will
