Hi… I was wondering has anyone had any digestive issues and lupus? Also have you dealt with high anxiety and if so how did you manage it.
Hi Life3in1. Yes, I am having digestive issues. Have gone the whole gambit with my GP of urine test and colon sample. Everything turned out A-OK. So, I turned to my nutrition store. She suggested I try some probiotics. So, I bought 10B live cultured probiotic capsules which I kept in the fridge. Went through 30 tablets and it didn't help. So, she suggested upping to 20B. I am not 100% perfect, but I am no longer having loose bowels anymore. I also have high anxiety. My outlet is a hobby. I love working on my family tree and my husband doesn't see me all day! Ha! Being by myself is therapeutic. Driving in heavy traffic is a nightmare for me and I usually have a breakout of tremors afterwards. It takes a while to calm down. Hope this helps! 😀
Many years before I was diagnosed I had terrible itching and trouble getting to sleep. My PCP prescribed 10mg of doxepin. It's an old time antidepressant. It worked well for me.
I e always had digestive issues , lost a portion of my colon in 2020 on 4 stomach medicines, I was informed I will have issues the rest of my life, I'm dealing with a lupus rash right now, the itching is horrible, any ideas to what any of you use to calm it down, love and hugs to all
GI issues were always present in my life long before the Lupus showed up fully.
That is generally my main issue, or maybe constant issue is better. It doesn't surprise me though, because the immune system is housed within the digestive system. I use it as a warning flag for on coming flares. I changed jobs to a less stressful one, and decided that everything did not need perfection. I also take fiber pills to keep everything moving.
