Are you researching your symptoms or have your doctor diagnosed your case as neuropsychiatric lupus?
Have they done an MRI of your brain? That would be really necessary.

From what I've read, a movement disorder is only one possible symptom of neuropsych lupus. I've had repetitive muscle tremors and twitches of various types for years though. But I have a number of other symptoms of it. Neuropsych lupus can cause depression, although I don't think that's entirely the case here. What's DBS?

Do you have a neurological or movement disorder? I have dystonia.

My rheumatologist said Neuropsychiatric Lupus means lupus attacks the brain, hence the neurological disorder. My neurosurgeon said it’s a movement disorder induced by lupus. Because my lupus markers continue to be normal and the dystonia continues to progress, it doesn’t make sense. I just happened to have 2 unrelated conditions.
Going for DBS.
