Hello, friends, have you ever had ulcers in your mouth? I do now and my next appointment with the rheumatologist is in 45 days (I live in Canada). Any advice to treat them over the counter? Thank you. I have lupus since 1 year ago.

My first Rheumatologist gave me this medicated mouthwash I don’t remember what it was called, my new Rheumatologist doesn’t know what that was so I just ride them out or if they are very bothersome, gonna sound crazy, but if it hurts and causes talking difficulty, for the ones I get on my tongue I boil water, dip a spoon in it and place it on the ulcer and it singes but it does take them away.

Colgate makes one and Orajel makes one. Both are mouth rinses. You can also call your doctor - you don’t have to wait 45 days to get treatment for them. Best of luck !

I haven’t had mouth ulcers but I wonder of Peroxyl would help.
