Hello,
I’ve a question regarding taking Turmeric. My doctor recently gone to a conference with other Rheumatologists and their findings are Turmeric is not good for Lupus patients. Does anyone else had any bad experience taking Turmeric?
Thanks, Brenda
I take turmeric quite often but not regularly. Turmeric shots seem to make me feel better.
This article and others I read said it’s fine for lupus if taken short term.
At the end of this article, it says:
“I find this very interesting, I use turmeric spice quite a lot and I drink ginger tea as well, but I have never heard that it was beneficial for my lupus, although my lupus is well controlled. I wonder if this has any thing to do with it?”

I started drinking fresh turmeric Juice with water, lemon & stevia every day for my first 5 years of living in Bali to reduce inflammation. I found it made me feel better. Recently I changed to fresh green juice daily containing spinach, kale, lemon, lime, cucumbers, mint & tangerines & haven’t been taking turmeric. I’ve been feeling crumby for awhile now & have gained weight. Wondering if I should go back to daily turmeric. In Bali, it’s cheap to get fresh juices made including turmeric which involves a lot of work peeling & orange hands! 🤪 I have also done it myself many times. I was thinking all the vits. & minerals in the green juice ingredients would help with hair loss & boost my general health.
Bless you for spelling it correctly! So many people leave out that first R and it annoys me a little bit. I do take turmeric and have had no issues.
