I was diagnosed with rosacea today. It itches and burns. Really red. Anyone have this
I have found that this 99 cent ponds foam face wash cleared my skin from acne and my body after 2-3 showers. It could have been a coincidence. I will be trying again.
Yes, I have rosacea, eczema, & skin lupus all bundled up in one.
The heat of any kind, spicy foods & windy, dusty days set them all
off. Hope you all find your way & how to feel better.
Cearve (sp?) products are my best friend.

Rosacea does tend to be aggravated by wine, beer, or alcohol in general, FYI, all.
I was just diagnosed with Rosacea as well! Grateful I’m not alone, but sorry you’re going through this. I have to use pure goat soap and take mild showers so my skin doesn’t burn and flake off. The dermatologist recommended I try the Clinique brand of cleanser, cream, and sun lotion spf 15 anti-redness to take the sting out and neutralize red. At times, I also use hydrocortisone 2.5% cream to help with major redness. I always thought it was a lupus rash…just permanently plastered on my face. She said that some of it is, but when it becomes a lighter rosier appearance with some papules, etc that’s the rosacea. Rosacea involves generally the face (cheeks, nose, forehead and chin mainly), and symptoms are accompanied by redness, pimples, swelling, and small superficial dilated blood vessels.
The difference between a lupus rash and rosacea is that at some point the lupus rash-after receiving adequate treatment- will subside until one experiences another flare. Rosacea, on the other hand, is a long-term chronic skin condition requiring daily treatment, and when one experiences bad flares (acne, etc),but the redness of the face (unless covered with makeup or facial hair) remains. My Dad had Rosacea and I never knew, as he grew a beard!
I hope some of this helps out. I’ll let you know how the Clinique stuff works after I try it.
I was diagnosed with Rosacea years ago. I used to use a special wash but it got to be to rough for my skin. Now all I use is Clindamycin Gel and it helps a lot.
