Has anyone had a tongue in which it feels as if it is burnt? am having a weird feeling on my tongue and don’t know whether to talk to my Dr about it or the dentist? This is the first time I have had the sensation for over a week and I definitely can not eat anything spicy. It definitely feels worse afterwards.

I had the same symptoms and was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome around the same time as my Lupus. Be sure to tell your rheumatologist

I have that sometimes. I realized it happens to me when I’m fixing to have a flare. I get a weird taste and then it feels like my tongue is raw or I’ve scalded it.

Yes, my tongue is very inflamed due to my severe dry mouth. At times, it looks very red and raw. Our mouth ulcers can also sometimes cause pain. It fluctuates, but citrus, tomato, and spicy foods sometimes set it on fire for short periods.
