My rheumatologist of 30 yrs retired. Referred me to one of his partners. Told "I don't have SLE. I am HLA-B27 +. Do you have SLE & +HLA.

I would get another opinion in that case. Do you have a university medical center nearby? They may have more experience with lupus.
