Dr. Donald Thomas author of the Lupus Encyclopedia writes in detail about whether lupus is hereditary in his blog. Here's the article below.

Note: I had two maternal aunts with autoimmune disease. One had lupus and the other MCTD (RA, lupus, and scleroderma).

I do Hyzentra it was a little tough in beginning to get use to putting 4 small needles 2 below my waist and 2 above my waist it takes about a hour and a half to get the meds in. Sounds worse then it is. It was tough in beginning to get use to it but it helped a lot. I had been sick for years before they finally found out I now have Lupus and VCID, I’m on meds for my pancreas and I developed heart problems life is different but every time I hug my grand children I feel so blessed & very Lucky.
They sent a nurse out in the beginning to teach me how to prepare my infusions , and administered them I’d rather do it but as I age I know there will come a time I will have to go to a doctors office for them to administer it, but as long as I can do it I prefer it…my comfy lounge chair and a good movie gets me through this every week. Praying for all of you out there no one said life will be easy but we are in control on how we handle problems I chose years ago to be a nice, loving, happy person who looks at problems as a quest to solve and an example to my family.🙏

Mine showed up after hysterectomy also, I suffered for years not knowing what was going on with me took years of being sick before I finally found a doctor who went in the right direction. My Immunologist knew from all my symptoms what I had. Since then I have been giving myself infusions every Sunday for 14 years it’s not easy but necessary, it actually has helped my body to fight off other sickness as well as kept me more healthy. Don’t get me wrong, I’m getting older and like everyone the end of life will come but the journey has not stopped me, I am lucky through prayer I have a positive attitude and I’m smart enough to listen to my body and take care of myself and I stay upbeat for my husband of 54 years, my children and my 10 grandchildren. I am able to stay optimistic, love, forgive and smile even in pain because life, love, & children are worthy of our best. Stay upbeat, smile, love one another…never feel sorry for yourself put a big smile on your face and enjoy every moment & when the end is here I hope to leave memories for all those that know me. Big smiles, lots of fun & hugs.

@A MyLupusTeam Member. The doctor says it is by genetic predisposition but not in the same way that other hereditary diseases are. Please read the article.

I am sorry to hear that @A MyLupusTeam Member. No one ever expected a human could receive a kidney transplant from a pig either. But it's happened. Just keep doing what you're doing. It's revolutionary.

No more medicines for me! I’m taking sea moss, bladderwrack and shilajit all herbal supplements! These contain all of the nutrients and minerals our bodies need to heal itself
