He has not been tested yet but I am adding that to my list when we visit the doctor on Monday. I am not even sure what tests to make sure he gets, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
You're very welcome! Has he been tested for Sjogren's syndrome with anti-Ro and anti-La antibodies (also known as anti-SSA and anti-SSB)? If not, he should.
Has he tried artificial tears, as they provide relief if he has dry eyes?
Thank you so much for your reply. I could not find anything describing these feelings or sensations anywhere in the literature I found. The specific description he describes was not something I could find in any medical journals or even googling. I am trying to ease and validate his concerns because we have not received a diagnosis and he has been to numerous doctors/specialist. However, I am going with him to the next appointment and have had him keep a journal regarding symptoms and concerns. Thank you again, any responses are truly appreciated!
Many of us have secondary Sjogren's, which can cause our eyes and mouth to burn. I, too, experience this at times.
