I've just started Imran 50mg,Prednisone 20mg,plaquenil 200mg daily with already a low wbc count. The doctor hasn't said anything about reducing the prednisone. BUT, notice there's no refilling on the prednisone. I'm so scared on these meds. Do they really help. My wbc are so low .I dont want her to increase my meds

It's completely normal to feel scared about taking new medications, especially with lupus. Here are some key points to consider:

- Gabapentin: Can cause drowsiness, dizziness, mood swings, and other side effects. It's important to monitor how you feel and discuss any concerns with your doctor
- Hydroxychloroquine: May Show Full Answer

It's completely normal to feel scared about taking new medications, especially with lupus. Here are some key points to consider:

- Gabapentin: Can cause drowsiness, dizziness, mood swings, and other side effects. It's important to monitor how you feel and discuss any concerns with your doctor.
- Hydroxychloroquine: May interact with other medications, especially in older adults or those with multiple conditions. Always inform your doctor about all the medications you're taking.
- Benlysta: Both infusions and injections can cause fatigue and other side effects. Some people experience fewer benefits with injections.

Always communicate openly with your healthcare provider about your fears and any side effects you experience. They can help adjust your treatment plan to better suit your needs.

Sharon, I responded on your page, too. Please be aware that prednisone can NOT be stopped abruptly without your feeling terrible, so please check with your doctor about refills.

Understandably, you are uneasy about taking Lupus medications. I have been taking Prednisone and Plaquanil for 30 years, and Imuran for about 3 years. I am doing well on all three. I am not aware of the side effects from them. If I have any, I am not aware of them. I hope you can relax and continue to give them a try. If you do have side effects, you should notify your Rheumatologist.
