I live in a large community and have lots of friends and a very supportive church. But I've given up asking people for help when I'm so sick I can't function because everyone is just too busy! It's hard to get cleaning and laundry done, or bigger tasks that I'm too weak to do. How do the rest of u do it? Any tips on advice?

I agree with the advice you've been given so far. We hired a girl to come in once a month and thoroughly clean the house takes her about 4 hours. Then in between we keep things picked up and put away, sweep the kitchen and middle of the living room and dining room as well as a quick wipe with Clorox wipes kitchen counters and toilets (outsides only) and sinks if needed. These only take a few minutes and can be spread over the weeks between when she comes to clean.
Cooking: put leftovers in the freezer for another meal, never turndown someone's offer to make you a meal, plan ahead for easy homemade meals, soups, casseroles no more than 5 ingredients, breakfast for dinner, take out is great once in awhile as is convenience foods, just remember- low nutrition and high cost.
My husband, partly retired, took over the laundry and kitchen clean up. Maybe it's not done the way I would do it but we have clean, folded, hung up clothes as well as a tidy kitchen.
Most of all don't stress over what doesn't get done. I promise it will still be there tomorrow.
Have a blessed day my friend đź’ś

There is only so much we can do. I try to do the most important chores first then the rest can wait.

Become a minimalist. Sooo much easier when you lack energy. I moved over a year ago and I didn’t take half my junk and it felt amazing!!!
Think about it… less stuff, less cleanup …and stuff takes up space.. and one less thing to pickup or clean

Sooooo…
-Roomba helps for sure
-Mop the shower/bathtub
-Clorox wipe-downs for everything
-Use same cup bowl silverware etc.
-Dishwasher is great… unloading not!
-fold and hanger clothes sitting on couch
-Swiffer instead of sweep….and Swiffer mop
-Use thin flat quilt or top sheet between you and your comforter/bedspread so that you can wash it less often.

There was a kiddy show that said a place for everything and everything in its place. So I try to remember to give everything it’s on place and put things back in their spot as soon as I’m finished using them.

Now that my 4 yr old grandson lives here though… all bets are off! There’s no way. There’s at least 2 hotwheel cars and a Spider-Man in my bed right now and some foam dinosaurs on my bedroom floor... been there 2 days.

So truth be told, I clean when I clean.
I don’t do perfect or daily!

When I have company… which is not very often, I strive for the APPEARANCE of perfect, lol!

Hi Joy22, I decided what I can do each day by how I feel. Yesterday I cleaned kitchen ,then I rested for half
hour. Next I made my bed and emptied all the trash can into main trash can. ,then sat down for another half to an hour. Next I vacuumed all the rooms. I was done for the afternoon. My husband came home made dinner and we ate. He had to go visit someone so while he was gone I cleaned up the dishes and the the rest of time before bed time I watched TV and played on my kindle.
What I am trying to tell you is a stagger my house work with rest. I hope this helps you. I don't live in a house I
live in a 1st floor appointment. But staggering
chores helps me get things done. Good luck and I hope this helps.❤️
