Here's an article discussing some foods that cause inflammation. Within the article are suggestions for anti-inflammatory foods to add to your diet. I hope it helps those who have questions about our dietary needs.

I want to add that while the article mentions garlic and tomatoes are good anti-inflammatory foods, they are not good for people with lupus.
Remember folks, that we all have different triggers. Peanut butter and lentils and other things may be ok for some of us. You have to learn how your lupus reacts. It helps to keep a list of foods and reactions with you so you know how you are affected. I can eat smooth peanut butter but peanuts are a no for me. Beans are great but not lentils. Again, that is my trigger. Jasmine rice swells my legs to double their size but other rice is fine. You have to learn your own individual triggers.
@A MyLupusTeam Member that happens to me too! But I shouldn’t do it to often because I’m Diabetic as well. But I have a sweet tooth so I bake cupcakes, but not with regular sugar that can be damaging. I try, but it’s hard. Have a sweet Wednesday @A MyLupusTeam Member 🍰🧁🍰
The food log will help you keep track. It helped me a lot I am still learning.
As Mandy said everyone is different.
I am a newbie there is so much information and so much to learn.
I am still struggling with it all. Iam trying to make changes a little at a time.
I have found a food log has helped me. I track how I feel rate it 1-10 (my joint pain) then I look at what I ate and eliminate foods as needed. This is how I found out “garlic” was very bad for me. Just my tidbit.
