RahRah, you are on track when you mention all things to your doctor. If they don’t have an answer, hopefully they will get you to someone who can help! I’ve taken hydroxychloroquine for 8 years. When my retina specialist found the macular degeneration, I told my rheumatologist, and I was sent to John’s Hopkins Wilber Eye Institute for an opinion, and was told it did not seem to be related the hydroxychloroquine. My advice is to always mention concerns to your doctor. All conditions and reactions are different for every person.
As for prayers, I pray hard every single day for all of us! ❤️❤️
The medications we take like plaquenil can cause vision decrease or loss if not treated. Always read the info on new meds and discuss all concerns or changes with you Physicians
I had cataract surgery 2 years ago at 47. He told me I was too young for that and now he just diagnosed me with beginning stages of Glaucoma but that is due to years of Prednisone use. The cataracts are not. Plus, I've had a lot of issues due to the Sjogrens. You just never know what you're going to get.
RahRah, this would be rare, as uveitis, scleritis, vasculitis, etc., are all treatable. We need to see our ophthalmologist immediately if we notice eye problems to help prevent blindness.
