Plaquenil takes a while to build up in your blood. It works great for me, but I have afried with lupus and it didn't work for her. If your eyes feel really dry which can cause vision problems, see your ophthalmologist for a prescription for Restasis. That helped my eyes a lot. Also ask your rheumatologist about Benlysta. It is a self injectable drug just for lupus. I've been on it since it first came out and it's made a big difference. Just remember that what works great for one person doesn't necessarily work the same for someone else.

I’m on hydroxychloroquine too. Note that it can take 8-12 weeks of taking it before it’s fully effective. I’m hoping you’ll see some relieve once you get closer to that 12-week mark!

I feel better with hydroxychloroquine after 6 months, with eating well and exercise. I feel the same in the first few months and had the same doubt but i pressed on. I have eyes pressure too but wearing glasses ALL the time helps it.

I have been on hydroxychloroquine for almost a year and I can’t honestly tell u if it’s working or not . I have good days and bad but the flares last really really long for me. My eye pressure and lines in my vision are the same like you have, I’m constantly getting my eyes checked they check and say I have perfect vision but my eyes aren’t the same when I started the medication. The doctors tell me your eyes don’t get affected right away that it will take years but everyone isn’t the same so I don’t understand
