Thank you McCourt and Niranjana for the hugs! Always appreciated! Hugs back to both of you. I hope you are both well.💜💗
Thank you so much, Joni, for telling us like it will be. I’m afraid my muscles won’t do their job, but if you found that at first and then gradually improved I guess I can do it too. You didn’t have any Lupus complications? That would be a relief to know but I know not a guarantee. Thanks, have happy holidays!❣️❤️
McCourt14075, I’m going for knee replacement in February and wondering the same thing. I’ve been on and off, mostly on, steroids for 40 years, I’m wondering if that will have an effect on healing. Also weakened, sore muscles-will they hold up for the rehab work? I’m going to PT now until surgery to build up my muscles as much as I can. Good luck to you!🤞🏻💕🩷🙏🏻
Thank you, Joni.🩷💕
@A MyLupusTeam Member, I think my Lupus was in remission at that time, but maybe not, I had necrosis in my femur right above my knee and the bone collapsed. Necrosis was what led to my Lupus diagnosis, as it is caused by Lupus. I had the actual knee replacement two years after finding out about the necrosis and Lupus diagnosis. I don’t recall any issues after surgery, I guess I did deal with extra swelling that made it harder to bend my knee. Actually I still deal with extra swelling in that area. I keep saying that for some reason, that is where the Lupus likes to attack. Good luck to you, I wish you a smooth surgery and a fast recovery. You got this!💜💕
