I agree I wouldn't mention it until I felt like it was necessary, when I was diagnosed I didn't tell anyone at my job right away, however as time went by I started telling people I was comfortable with. When I meet a new potential soulmate I would tell them sometimes on the first time we get together if it went well and that's because I want my potential soulmate to know that I have a medical condition that could cause multiple things to happen to me. I personally feel like if you are looking for a long-term relationship that that person has the right to know what could happen so that they can decide if they want to deal with it if something does happen.
Deciding when to disclose your lupus diagnosis is a personal choice. You don’t need to bring it up during the job application or interview process unless you require accommodations to perform the job. Once hired, you can share your condition if you feel comfortable or need workplace adjustments. Familiarize yourself with Show Full Answer
I would not tell them at all. My employer started acting like a jack*@@ when she found out. There is no rule or law that requires you to tell them. Some employer will try and use it against you.
