This type of sensation can be particularly bothersome when trying to sleep. It may feel like bugs are underneath your skin or like something is walking on your head, even though nothing is actually there. The crawling sensation you're experiencing could be related to nerve signals being misinterpreted by your brain, or it might be connected to your lupus medications. It's important to track when these sensations occur and share the pattern with your healthcare provider. They may want to adjust your treatment plan or investigate if medication side effects are contributing to these nighttime symptoms.

I used to feel like there were bugs crawling under the skin on my scalp and at times heard what sounded like a crisp rainfall in the back of my head. I had my hearing checked, no problem there. I just recently came across an article about a woman who literally moved from her house to a hotel room then to the car with no relief. With luck the exterminator had heard of of this before and most of these people were on some type of high blood pressure medicine. ????
