Mine runs between 96-97 degrees. Like Callie stated 99 degrees is an annoying low grade fever. Don't worry, you will learn to be in tune with your body.💜

Are you sure your thermometer is working? Some people normally run lower than 98.6, but 95.5 would be unusual.

Having a consistently low body temperature (95-98°F) with lupus is not typically a common symptom. While some MyLupusTeam members report feeling chilled or experiencing sudden temperature changes, actual hypothermia during lupus flares is quite rare and usually only occurs in specific circumstances, such as after steroid treatment. If you're experiencing consistently low body temperature, it's important to discuss this with your healthcare provider. This could be related to common lupus comorbidities like hypothyroidism, which affects 15-19% of people with lupus, or anemia, which occurs in about half of lupus patients. Both conditions can cause you to feel cold and affect body temperature regulation.

To manage temperature-related discomfort, try layering clothing, using space heaters, drinking warm beverages, and avoiding exposure to cold temperatures when possible.

Mine fluctuates because I have a damaged thyroid from my Grave's. It was damaged with 10 grams of radioactive iodine in 2006.
My temp runs under normal.

Yes, I’ve had my temp most often at 97 but at times it’s been in the low 80s and I shake so much until I can get it to go away-lying under an electric blanket. A low garage fever for me 99.
