A lot of doctor's offices now have their own doppler and are able to use it. (Doppler is an ultrasound) that can pick up blood flow if its impeded or not. I have seen blood clots on people that is located in the leg. The leg in the calf area is redden and they do have pain and its so tender the person won't allow you to really even touch it. So, whenever someone starts saying they have calf pain I would send them to the ER. We don't want the clot to travel to the lungs or the heart. If you haven't seen your doctor I would recommend that you do so and or call your doctor ASAP. I am praying for you. God bless.

Machel, please have this checked right away! It may be blood clots or sciatica, a nerve pain.

Blood clots typically occur in one leg and have distinct symptoms that require immediate medical attention:
- Sudden warmth in the leg
- Pain and tenderness
- Swelling
- Discoloration

If you're experiencing these symptoms along with your sharp pain, seek emergency care immediately. Your symptoms could be related to sciatica, which is seen in some lupus patients. Sciatic nerve pain:
- Runs from lower back down the legs
- Can feel like burning or electric shock sensations
- May cause tingling or numbness
- Can be severely painful and take your breath away

Given the uncertainty between sciatica and a possible blood clot, it's important to get proper imaging done. Request further evaluation from your doctor, especially if symptoms worsen or you develop any blood clot warning signs.

I have had blood clots two times! First was a fall that broke my ankle. War fun and then aspirin everyday! 10 years later blood clots again with no injury. Back on blood thinners but in all testing done it was discovered I had SLE lupus. My vitamin D was almost non existent even though I was outside. Rash developed on my arms and I had like shin splint pain! Please get tested for blood clots!
