I find ingesting anti inflammatory foods, like pineapple, papaya, ginger, turmeric ( needs some black pepper to activate the turmeric. Make a shake. The center core of the pineapple contains a lot of bromelain. Blending it chops it up.
Relaxation breathing helps too.

Question: What are non-medication alternatives to help control lupus pain and manage blood pressure?

There are several non-medication approaches that can help manage pain and stress, which in turn may help with blood pressure:

1. Mindfulness and meditation practices - these techniques can help break the cycle between physical pain and emotional stress
2. Proper muscle relaxation techniques - many people unknowingly hold tension in their muscles, which can create a pain feedback loop
3. Regular gentle movement as approved by your doctor Some additional options to discuss with your healthcare provider include:

1. Topical treatments like capsaicin cream or lidocaine patches
2. Working with a physical therapist to develop proper movement patterns
3. Stress management techniques
4. Dietary modifications that support blood pressure management

Remember to always consult with your healthcare team before starting any new pain management approach, as they can help create a personalized plan that's safe and effective for your specific situation.

My blood pressure goes way down when I have intense pain,

I am interested on responses to this question. When the pain is to much my heart pounds and my BP goes up to 180+ on top. Until here recently the bottom number has stayed in the no. Eggrmal range. But the last month or so the bottom number has crept up to 110 on bottom. It is crazy.
I have found that what at helps me is getting a couple pumps of unscented lotion in my hand and drop 3 or 4 drops of Frankincense essential oil in it and the mix it up then rub in where I am hurting. But I am learning to do that early when I start hurting and not after I have been hurting for a while.
Hope this helps you,
Stacie
