Yes, I experience this, too, BB. If you have bleeding elsewhere (nosebleeds, blood in stool or urine) or several bruises, please see your doctor. Steroids can cause easy bruising, but lupus can attack our platelets, causing this, too. Labs may be necessary.

Also Niranjana I went to Rheumatologist yesterday and waiting on bloodwork. She said I definitely had a lot going on this visit. Also had several very large blisters on hand and forearm that were concerning but read several others have had this too. Thankful for this group! 😇

Yes, I just went through a bad batch of purpura and Lupus vasculitis, with random bruising on upper legs, possibly purpura?? My right arm is the worse, it disclolored the skin and broke through with a lot of bleeding. The worse has healed, but still purpura popping up.

Yes, many people with lupus experience unexplained bruising. While bruising isn't considered a typical lupus symptom, numerous MyLupusTeam members have reported experiencing random bruises without remembering how they got them.

Some members have described finding bruises all over their legs with no apparent cause, while others experience pain in areas that feel like bruises but don't show visible marks. If you're experiencing unexplained bruising, it's important to:

• Take photos of the bruises
• Track when and where they appear
• Contact your doctor to discuss your symptoms
• Consider if any medications you're taking might contribute to easier bruising

Remember that sun sensitivity, which affects about 50% of people with lupus, can also cause skin changes and may worsen other lupus symptoms.
