I just received a call from my doctor. I guess I have autoimmune hepatitis. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this? Is it something that is directly connected to another auto immune disease, lupus or RA?

Thank you so much for the information they’re still gonna continue to do more test. I’ve been trying to get into see a hepatologist for a while now and since my last labs now they’re trying to put a rush on it because this has been going on for quite a while now. All I know is I’m tired and in the midst of all this stuff, I have a landlord who is complete jerk and has been causing me so much stress and issues so we’re trying to pack and move by September 30 which is definitely taking its toll on me. Thank God for my amazing son my youngest You still right by my side I have no idea where we’re gonna go and I’ve reached out to several different places to get resources to find somewhere affordable for us to live. One thing I have one is that even though every time I turn around, it seems like it’s a new challenge. I have home health from Sutter coming to see me all the time now and I feel like I have more appointments and people have their entire life, but I have to remain positive and keep a close eye on my mindset so that way I don’t allow myself to sync into a depression and I try to remember everything I’m grateful for and lately it’s been my youngest son because he has been so amazing in helping take care of me as well as supporting us while I still wait on Social Security. Thank you for your wisdom as always I appreciate you.😊

Lupus can rarely cause hepatitis, Athena, and having one autoimmune disease makes us more prone to other autoimmune diseases. There are several types of autoimmune liver disease, and a hepatologist (liver specialist) can best determine what's causing yours.

I have a friend with lupus and primary biliary cirrhosis, a form of autoimmune liver disease. She is doing well with both on treatment, and rest assured, this is treatable. Please keep us posted.😘

You're always welcome, Athena, and I'm sad to hear of your struggles. The wolf often causes us problems in every part of our lives--not just our health. What a fantastic son!💜

Living with multiple autoimmune conditions can be challenging. While lupus and autoimmune hepatitis can coexist, the search results don't provide specific information about their connection. It would be best to discuss your specific situation with your healthcare team, as they can provide personalized guidance based on your medical history and test results.

Remember that managing lupus often requires working with multiple specialists who can coordinate your care and monitor how different conditions may affect each other. Some key points to keep in mind:

• Regular monitoring of your symptoms and blood work is important
• Your healthcare team may need to adjust medications to manage both conditions
• Working with specialists who communicate with each other can help optimize your treatment plan
• Support from others who understand autoimmune conditions can be valuable for coping with multiple diagnoses
