SM, I'm sure you're being treated for your organ flares, and it's best to consult with your doctors about the safest meds for you. I take Tylenol, but with your liver enlargement, it may be unsafe for you. NSAIDs, like Motrin and Naprosyn, are a bad choice for most of us, as they can injure our kidneys and cause gastritis, ulcers, and internal bleeding. I hope you and @A MyLupusTeam Member get relief soon.😘

It's important to work closely with your rheumatologist to determine the exact cause of your organ pain and abnormal pancreas numbers, as these symptoms could be related to lupus itself or medication side effects. Several lupus medications can affect these organs, so your doctor may need to adjust your current treatment plan.

Common medications that might need to be reviewed include:
• NSAIDs
• Corticosteroids
• Azathioprine (Imuran)
• Methotrexate To help manage your condition:

1. Keep detailed notes about when your symptoms occur
2. Report any new symptoms to your doctor immediately
3. Follow up regularly with your healthcare team
4. Don't ignore or minimize severe abdominal pain
5. Be prepared to undergo blood tests or imaging to monitor organ function

Your doctor may need to run specific tests to determine if your current medications need adjustment or if you require additional treatment to address these organ-related complications.

I just recently a couple of days ago went to a liver specialist and he is doing more testing now. I take pain medication for my chronic pain but im not yet on anything for my liver as of yet. Just being cautious for now. No matter what I eat or how little I eat I end up hurting badly. I really liked this new specialist and am trusting him to figure it out. I go to Cleveland clinic. I will keep you all up to date as to how things progress. I wish you luck.
