Checked my pulse at the wrist and called out to his colleague to fetch a defibrillator. Wow. What does that mean exactly, was my life in danger? Why the Defibrillator?

@A MyLupusTeam Member That's definitely rude and crossing a line calling you a liar. You can only judge another person if you've walked in his/her moccasins. I always offer people to live my life for 3 weeks, telling them they probably wouldn't survive a week, they'd probably unlive themselves, sorry but true🤷🏽‍♀️

@A MyLupusTeam Member and @A MyLupusTeam Member It's been another day spent at the ER......🙁🙄Not a day has gone by without me carrying the remains of just another ER visit. Others go to work, commute to their office every day, I've been seeing many ERs of several hospitals over the course of 2 years. How do I feel? Exhausted, overwhelmed, very sick. I've had enough of being dismissed and/or being accused of using illicit drugs for example. I'm done with the condescending treatment, I still despise being yelled at. I wish I wouldn't need emergency care, but my PCP told me I'm vulnerable, fragile, in an instable condition. He is constantly urging/reminding me to call an ambulance when I happen to quickly decompensate again. No taxi, no public transportation; I have to wrap my head around all of this.
The EMT today addressed me in a fashion that startled me, it was the honesty and the hurt in his voice which caught me by surprise, he exclaimed that most people around me clearly have no idea just how sick I am.

@A MyLupusTeam Member I know I have GI-tract involvement, recurrent gastritis, malabsorption. My PCP prescribes Ondansetron against nausea after one hospital told me to take it on a regular basis
