I had a bad reaction to methotrexate. They put imuran in place with hydrchloriquine. It works well but did drop my blood count a bit

When I was first diagnosed my Rheumatologist prescribed hydroxichloriquine, luckily I did my research before and found out that it is a sulphate which I am allergic to. I am now on methotrexate with little side effects

Unfortunately, every medication and OTC has some side effects. It is best to learn about them, pay attention to your body, and report any changes in how you feel to your doctor immediately. Along with that, stay hydrated and eat healthy. Anti-inflammatory diets are highly recommended for us. If you have lupus nephritis, limit your salt and protein intakes.

Hydroxychloroquine can cause severe damage to your eyes and or blindness that can not be corrected. Please get your eyes examined once a year.
