Was diagnosed with Chilblains lupus in January of this year. My blood work came back as positive for lupus. This type of Lupus is skin related/connective tissue lupus. My dermatologist put me on hydroxychloroquine 200 mg twice a day. Wondering on what to expect during my first appointment on 5/5.
Thanks for listening.
The doctor will review your medical history with you. They might ask you if you are having any of the typical symptoms of lupus, also known as the 11 criteria for lupus. They will order lab work, and you may or may not be prescribed medication on that day or after your lab results come in. Please remember to bring a list of things you would like to discuss with the doctor and your questions. The first visit is usually the longest, so take advantage of that extra time. If someone close to you is available on your appointment day, it will help to bring them along. They can help fill in the blanks if you miss something the doctor says and can also tell the doctor how they see the changes in your health. Please let us know how your appointment goes.
