Here are some commonly used options:
- Gabapentin (Neurontin) — often used for lupus-related nerve pain
- Duloxetine (Cymbalta) — an antidepressant that also helps with nerve pain
- NSAIDs like naproxen — for general pain and inflammation
- Antidepressants like amitriptyline — can help change how pain is perceived
- Opioids — considered when other options haven't worked
