I don't wanna sound paranoid but I feel like no doctor is investigating the causes of our lupus and all medics seems to make the inflammation chronic πŸ€‘

Cheers! I still believe that the cure exists but it's hidden for that reason.

There are big Pharmacies every where in the U. S. A.
If anyone paid attention, they would notice all the ads on TV, radio, and at entertainment. There is no cure for many illnesses and diseases, because that is how they make there money.
However, it's likely never going to go away. That doesn't mean we give up and lose hope. Fight with a smile everyday, and if you have a bad, that's what you're team is for!

Cool, my previous doctor looked at me in the eyes telling me I'll never heal. I didn't like it. I guess he would close his clinic if anyone was able to heal. Just a point

Those feelings are completely valid, and you're definitely not alone in having them. The frustration of living with a condition that doesn't have a clear-cut cause is real and exhausting.

The honest truth is that researchers haven't pinpointed one single cause of lupus yet. Most scientists believe it's likely a combination of factors working together, including:

- Genetics β€” having family members with autoimmune conditions increases risk
- Hormones β€” which is partly why lupus is far more common in women
- Environment β€” things like UV light exposure, silica dust, pesticides, and cigarette smoke
- Stress β€” both physical and emotional stress are known triggers
- Certain medications β€” some drugs can actually trigger a lupus-like condition

Research into lupus causes is genuinely ongoing, even if it doesn't always feel that way from the patient side. On the natural remedies front, many MyLupusTeam members have been pitched supplements, oils, and teas β€” sometimes by well-meaning friends or family. The important caution here is that "natural" doesn't automatically mean safe, especially when taking immunosuppressants or other lupus medications. Supplements can interact with prescriptions or even worsen symptoms.

As one MyLupusTeam member put it: *"I pay attention to what helps me, but lupus isn't cured by one diet."*

That said, some lifestyle factors do matter:

- Limiting UV exposure and wearing sunscreen
- Not smoking, which is linked to increased disease activity
- Managing stress where possible
- Being mindful of diet β€” some members find certain foods affect how they feel, though results vary

Always run any supplement or remedy past a rheumatologist first to check for interactions. It's not about distrust β€” it's about keeping things safe. πŸ’›
