She did a blood test early on and still does not believe the diagnosis that both my PCP and my kidney doctor proved that I have it. She's very difficult to work with. In my area there are very few rheumatologists. When I report a troubling symptom she just looks at me. I don't know what to do. Also, I can't have chocolate, sugar, milk because it plays havock with my Lupus. I can't get good help with my medical issues. Any thoughts?
The way our medical providers ignore and belittle our concerns is concerning and beyond frustrating and makes me feel hopeless at times. I am on my second rheumatologist, and I drive an hour for my visits. The only reason I have not switched to a third RA doctor is because I am in the middle of a study, and even with me being in a lupus study, he still ignores my concerns. A big one is when I told him that my quality of life has diminished; I received no reply. I am not going to stop advocating for myself; I just have to be persistent.
You may have to travel further for a supportive doctor. No help doesn’t help. Keep strong.
Look into programs in your area for transportation. I hope you find something.

Check whether there is a Mayo Clinic campus or a university hospital in a nearby city. As @A MyLupusTeam Member said, you may have to travel farther to find a more supportive rheumatologist.
