Several men on the site responded to the question about whether men also experience lupus, with many confirming their diagnoses and sharing how the condition affects them. Common symptoms mentioned included fatigue, brain fog, hair loss, soft tissue inflammation, and cognitive difficulties, with many noting these challenges significantly impact daily life. A recurring theme was the importance of community support, with one member highlighting the National Lupus Man Cave monthly meetings hosted by the Lupus Foundation as a helpful resource for men navigating their diagnosis.

Yep, I'm one of them. I'm recently diagnosed (SLE) and still figuring it all out. Fatigue and lack of energy has been my biggest challenge. Brain fog and light headiness are also real problems, to the point where I often don't feel comfortable driving. I'm also losing my hair which is very hard. I suspect that this is due to lupus, but to might be a side effect of the medication (Plaquenil) that I'm on. I wish that there was a men's group on this site. I have asked about one several times with no response.
I did recently participate in a zoom meeting (National Lupus Man Cave), hosted by the Lupus Foundation. I found it to be very supportive and helpful. Although I have to admit hearing about the many things that they have gone through because of lupus scares the heck out of me for what may lay of me in my future. If any other men are interested in the monthly meetings here is a schedule:

My symptoms are skin rash, fatigue, brain fog. I was taking a malaria medicine years ago (I believe it was a form of quinoline or maybe quinacrine hydrochloride) that helped but my doctor passed and I cannot get another Dr to prescribe it, so now I just deal reactively to the symptoms.
