I have been running a fever for me for several weeks. It seems to be increasing slowly over the weeks. My question is has this happen to anyone? It does seem to bee worse with more stress. I think it is the lupus but how do I get the doctors to listen. The reason I say that is because no doctor says I am running a fever. The reason for this is normal temp for me is 96.4 but to day it was 99 . They all say it not a temp because it is not over 100. Any suggestions will be helpful.
I have a temp of around 100 everyday. Fever is a typical symptom of lupus. Your immune system thinks it is doing its job. As long as your temp is below 100, your doc probably won't intervene. Keep a journal. If Tylenol or ibuprofen don't interfere with your other meds, then you can use them as directed for comfort.
yeah i run fevers all the time but it be anywhere from 99.2-99.8 and they say its not a good fever. yes i told the dr.'s after i realize thst along with them(not a good fever) episodes here comes a flare-up so strong that it wont let me eat-drink or sleep with them burning up fevers i had to watch myself very closely.keep a pin and paper on hand and write down everything you will see it maybe an indicator for a flare-up
They not going to let you donate blood anyway if you have lupus, you blood will for sure be rejected and can cause someone else major damage like lupus nephritis please don't donate blood you going to need all the blood you have someone you will get anemia, so be very careful.
I run a fever at 96 also. When I first got Lupus I was told by my doctor that most Lupus patients run fevers at lower temps. Never had to explain myself ever again about when I had a fever. Are you seeing a MD or RA doctor? RA's know more about Lupus than a MD.
I typically run a low grade fever and on occasion it get to 101° to 102° generally I was told besides the lupus affecting my temp regulator in me it also rises with the inflammation in my body
