I have had several liver enzyme tests - the latest being a high AMA test showing antibodies in Mitochondria. I then had a cat scan of my abdomen. The doctor (GI doctor) called when the AMA test was high and wanted to see me. I cannot see him till February 12th. I have not heard from him concerning the cat scan. I had it on Wednesday and still no results. I am dismayed that I do not know what is going on. I am somewhat angry as well. Why can the doctor at least call me and tell me SOMETHING??? Am… read more

Yes! I see a good rheumatologist here in Savannah. I've been here for years. He's on point with my tests. Rashes and other complications. Good luck. His name is Thai Winn.

No you have the right to be upset. If I where you I would look for another rheumatologist. You may have to go through other tests. I strongly believe you have some sort of lupus. That's my opinion. I want you to read my story. It took many years for the doctors to figure it out. I'm doing much better now since 1985. There is no cure. My doctor detective it earlier. Now with meds and homeopathic remedies I'm stable. But we have our good days and bad days. I will pray for you. Seek another opinion. Your friend and sister.😊🌈🙋

I agree, your doctor should communicate better. Be Your own advocate & call the doctor, you may come to find out there is a reason for no call yet. Possibly results not yet in?? But if you get a poor response to your request for more info, I suggest you find a new doctor that you are comfortable with.

In most all tests I've had the doc called me immediately but ONLY if there is something abnormal. And even then they don't go into great detail; opting to have me come into the office. Other than that I got a letter in the mail. I don't know a doctor that would see something concerning and not call as soon as possible. It goes against their "do no harm" oath. I'd call and ask about the results. I'll believe for you that this is a good sign.
