I went to Rheumatologist this morning. I'm taking pred imuran plaquanil and adding methotrexate. He wants me to add methotrexate and hope to get off pred and imuran over next few months. I'm a little nervous about taking all of this. Is anyone taking all of this at sametime? He says just keep check on labs.
Also, I do B-12 shots weekly. I can tell my energy level declines when I miss them. My 14 year old future doctor gives them to me! Lol
Yes ma'am, I take 1200mg folic acid by mouth daily. Even though my methotrexate dose is only weekly.
Don't want to be low on folic acid!
I took cellcept for 3 years and then i switched to plaquenil. All meds have side effects.
I was not sleeping and i thought it was the meds but maybe it was the GERD meds. Cellcept gave me yeast infections but now i hve to worry about the plaquenil affecting my eyesight in the long run
@A MyLupusTeam Member did they ever give you cellcept?
I take Predisone & Imuran as my kidney transplant drugs. Never had to take methotrexate or plaquenil.
