I am having very bad cold sweats on and off for about 3 weeks now... is it the lupus or should I be concerned about something else?

I would bring it to my Dr.s attention but you say you have a cold so you may have a fever that's bringing on cold sweats rather than chills..If this is unusual for you then be seen..I've had lupus almost 25 years now & I've never experienced that but you know you're body better than anyone.. I hope you get better soon hope this helps😊

I just had a cold sweat today for the first time and wondered if it was associated with the lupus so I came on here to search through q&a. Found your question. Seems we are among the few who have these. Most have night sweats. I googled it and found this:

"Sweating can be triggered by fear or anxiety, and this is often referred to as a cold sweat. It comes on suddenly and results in cool, damp skin. It is the body's reaction to stress as part of the "fight or flight" response that helps us to react in a dangerous situation."

Mine could be stress. This whole diagnosis is stressing me out....

Not sure if that could be an answer for you as well.

I swear I wake up clammy and sweaty when I've overdone the Ibuprofen. I use it to supplement my prednisone and plaquenil (more than I should). So... keep that in mind if you're popping more than 200mg every other day. I get up to 400 or 600 per day -- which is really dangerous, I know.

I got those when I was going through a flare but now I'm on such a high dose of steroids I haven't had that problem anymore.
