Help On What I Can Do To Continue Full Time Employment

Help On What I Can Do To Continue Full Time Employment

I have been working full time since I was 18. Got diagnosed at age 14. Now at 32 I'm struggling to work my normal. Any advise from people who work full time could give me? Best foods, rest, play I always seem to be fatigued and cannot think straight.

Following as I am struggling as well. I'm 34 and off work for the last year. I'd like to go back but can't make it more than a few weeks without flaring.

For work, I've been working with my employer to discuss accommodations. I'll likely go back part time, at least to start.

For my health I am also open to try anything my doc can suggest. I've also been eating an anti-inflammatory diet like the "Overcoming MS" diet. No meat or dairy, but fish is okay. I'd like to see a naturopath as well. I have a dietitian overseeing things.

Good luck to you!!

I did two things to keep working. I told my dr. I was open to any treatment that would keep me working and I went to HR and formally requested accommodation under ADA rules. They were great but they were a large statewide org.
Discuss your concerns with your doctor first. They can usually help in some way. Good luck. Remember your health has to come first.
