Does anyone know of a good doctor that treats not only Lupus but other autoimmune conditions (Indiana)? My GP doesn't know what to do with me, pain management is a joke, and my rheumatologist seems neutral as long as my liver and kidneys are functioning normally based on the meds I'm on. Thanks in advance.

I was diagnosed with Lupus only 9 months ago, but my MD referred me to Dr Christipher Woo in Indianapolis, Indiana. It took me a couple months to get into him. I have been told he's one of the best. I've been extremely pleased with him so far! My symptoms now are not bad at all. I'm not sure what area of Indiana you live in, but I sure hope you can find a Dr you feel good about and you feel is really helping you!

That's the same response I got from my doctor. It's infuriating! I listed off ten or so symptoms that are awful and all he says is "it's so weird that you have no symptoms! Your organs are fine!" πŸ™„

@A MyLupusTeam Member I also have psoriasis that keeps getting worse and my GP asked "what's that?" I couldn't believe it! I have a bad patch on my left calf and on my feet and have been noticing small patches coming up in different places, especially now that I've been in a long flare. I also get smooth, round non-itchy bumps on my chest and arms when I flare. I've used Clobex lotion to treat them in the past but they seem to stay until I begin to feel better which is weird!

I feel like the doctors don't really even listen or understand how we feel. Everything i mention my rheumatologist says I highly doubt thats from your lupus or its possible but i really dont think thats your lupus.
I wish they had some sort of natural care verses all the steroids and other meds that cause more health problems. I am sorry you are having such a difficult time. I pretty much have given up on thinking anything will change. I will keep you in my prayers. Hope you can find a great doctor soon.πŸ™‚
