This will be my first year participating in a lupus awareness walk, I am grateful and created a team for my family and friends to join πŸ’œπŸ’œ

@A MyLupusTeam Member and @A MyLupusTeam Member have been such a huge inspiration while I've been on this support site!

So participating in the walk will hopefully give others hope to fight, allow people to donate to the cause and create community connection.

Members rallied around a first-time participant asking about lupus awareness walks, sharing excitement and encouragement about events happening across the country, including walks in New Jersey, Baltimore, DC, Richmond, Charleston, and Chicago. Several members shared personal ways they've shown up for the cause, from creating team posters and walking the runway during Lupus Awareness Month to dressing as a purple butterfly and volunteering at events. A recurring theme was community connection and hope, with members encouraging each other to check the Lupus Foundation website for local walks and to stay hydrated and have fun.
