I'm trying to loose weight to decrease my risk of miscarriages and I've had family and friends have great success with beach body, but none of them have lupus. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and if they lost weight or had symptoms flare up.
I have done 21 day fix as far as the meal plan. That has been great. Although, I will say that I do give myself some grace on it. I do my best to follow it, but I don't always get all my containers in and sometimes I get too many yellows. But it has completely turned around my eating. My worst day is still so much better than my best day before I started using the container system. I started doing PiYo, which I love. But my body had a pretty tough time with it. I was super sore and had a hard time bouncing back. So I'm hoping to try it again soon as I think it's a great work out-low impact but could feel it working/changing my body. I'm really not sure if I should have tried to push through it as I think to some degree, your body is going to fight you when you start working out after FOREVER! But I'm new to the whole Lupus thing, so not sure when to listen to my body and when to push through yet. I will say, and this is not because I'm a beach body coach or sell beach body, but Shakeology has been really great for me. I was drinking like 3+ soda's a day before I started 21 day fix containers and Shakeology and I completely stopped drinking pop cold turkey. And totally didn't miss it. I wasn't white knuckling it at all. I drink my shake at a time of day that is tough for me to not want to snack and it really keeps me on track. I will say though, I did refuse to give up coffee. I use a real dairy creamer-not processed. That was one think I refused to give up. I think that also keeps me on track.
I have tried various Beachbody exercise programs over the years and I really like PIYO which is a Pilates/ yoga blend. If your body can handle the rigor they are good programs.
I currently do just yoga because anything more has become to harsh for my joints and muscles.
