When I go off my lupus meds, I end up in the hospital. I don't skip my meds.

@A MyLupusTeam Member pain is one thing, but when internal organs begin to be effected, or you cannot walk or even get out of bed due to extreme pain and swelling, inability to use your arms or legs due to muscle weakness/trembling, blindness in your right eye, and the list goes on - this is not living. I am a 100% believer in acupuncture and go every week or two, but without my lupus meds, I wouldn't be able to work. I am not saying this to upset you, but please be careful when telling people to stop their meds. We all want to be healthy and not have this disease, but unfortunately, going without our meds can be an extremely dangerous thing for many of us.

I switched docs ..the second doc told me I didn't have lupus..went off a month ..i went crawling back to first rheumy. She asked why I went off and I told her.
She looked at me and said ..now do you believe me? Then told me not to ever stop taking it again ...
NO WORRIES ...
I WON'T! It was way bad

@A MyLupusTeam Member It is your right to get a second opinion from any doctor your doctor shouldn’t just charge you for that. Most doctors will discharge a patient due to bad behavior drug shopping etc. and you don’t have to tell your doctor that you getting a second opinion either. You are the doctors boss you pay them
