Hi, I hope somebody can help me, I did all the test the rheumatologist send, and just the ds-DNA back postive, all the protein and etc... came negative.
Just ds-DNA is a signal for lupus?
This rheumatologist said I do not have anything????? but I have symptoms like mouth ulcers, itchy face, extreme fatigue, swollen and numb both hands.
I appreciate your answers!!!
That’s happened to me in the past- Lupus tries to go into remission sometimes (it hides) it’s one of the hardest disease to diagnose -And a doctor has told me that before!
Yeah, You probably have it and I’m really sorry. Because once it takes hold (in peeps like us) it is a terror! You need to find a different rheumatologist and if he says no you don’t have it- make him see you again in 6months over and over until you get the proper help. Bc your Lupus is playing dodgeball. (Just like mine did.) One doctor would take the test and it would come back positive and another would take the same test and it would come back negative. I took lab reports from one to the other at the doctors office just days apart and still- “negative “ it took forever to get diagnosed and then my medicine right, but now it’s like day and night.
I wrote so much bc I wanted you to know that someone else actually suffered the very same thing and I hear you- I’m hoping that you will seek help from another doctor soon as this is your body and we all care- Many blessings-
I think you need to find a new specialist... that’s just crazy...good luck
I was diagnosed with Lupus this past September 2017 after almost a year of going thru testing. My regular doctor, my rheumatologist, and even a pulmonary dr. I had blood work by all, exrays, catscans, heart monitor, I was in emergency room twice, put in hospital because of painful breathing and heart problems and still no answer to what was wrong. My joints ached and were swollen, I was retaining fluid and my fingers and feet are numb and tingly. Finally in one of my labs, my ANA was 5,000, pulmonary dr said he had never seen this high before, off the charts. Contacted my rheumatologist and saw her next day. I was put on 60mg prednisone - 1 daily, 400mg hydroxychloroquine - 2 daily and 1000mg Celcept - 2 daily. I am slowly reducing my prednisone,. Just had new blood work done this week and seeing my rheumaatologist next week. It is very hard to diagnose and hard to keep it all under control. Don't sleep well, constant pain in fingers, joints and tiredness. Nothing seems to get it all under control so far, will see what nest week brings. Keep a list of any pains or problems you have and talk with your dr. By all means get different opinions because it is hard to diagnose and I'm still trying to find things to make me have a regular day. Good luck and hope you get results that can help you. That's all any of us are looking for on a daily basis.
Yes you nerd a doctor that listens 😕 hard to find ! Im looking my self prayers for you💖
My son 25 yrs old at time became a quad in 1994. My body, mind and all shut down. All I could think of was taking care of him. In 1999 I was told my test came back positive for lupus. But Dr Adams didn't think I had lupus, but fibromyalgia. I suffered for 10 years before it was confirmed again. So get you a good rheumatologist.
