Oh yes! Definitely YES. Prior to getting on Plaquenil, I had VICIOUS flare ups before my cycle. For over two years, I was in the ER a week within my cycle starting - usually within two days of my cycle. The way I suffered varied from month-to-month. Sometimes it was pleurisy, sometimes it was a terrible migraine, sometimes it was a super high heart rate. I noticed within my first six weeks of Plaquenil that while I would get a headache, it had calmed down enough to treat at home. I no longer suffer as much. Lupus, with its inflammation, kinda acts like endometriosis and it can make everyting swell and become painful. If you aren’t already on Plaquenil, you should ask about it. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for a narcotic when you’re in this much pain. I hope you feel better soon!
