My daughter takes Imuran, and her rhuematologist told her to stop taking it anytime she gets sick with cold, sore throat, fever, etc. because it will make it harder for her to recover.

The funny thing is when I get sick and get a flare, doc prescribes Prednisone. At the same time though I get a bacterial and/or yeast infection. In addition to whatever else. Double edged sword.

Sending a air hug. Increase fluids and get vitamin c from foods. The first thing my doc told me was to take vitamin D and E and increase C and fluids. Also check the things you eat . There is an excellent resource through Dr Axe. Look him up and discuss what he says with your doctor. Learn what food cause flares and rest dear one! Also ask your doctor if those mentioned vitamins would be beneficial for you based on your blood levels. I am not a doctor.
